#32 David Nguyen 🇨🇭🇻🇳 - Spreading joy, one movie at a time

Watch the interview with David Nguyen just above for the full experience :D

Or you can always listen below or on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts or Deezer.

🇨🇭🇻🇳 David Nguyen is an award-winning filmmaker and movie director from Switzerland with Vietnamese roots.

🎤 “Some people say… I'm too kind, that maybe it's a bit dangerous because I'm too nice and I can't say no sometimes. Last time, I was helping a group of kids, they have a dancing crew and they just asked me if I could help them make a video, and I said yes! I don't know why, because I think I saw myself in them, struggling before, and I wanted to be the person that I dreamed to meet back then, someone who can help me.
And also because this person I dreamed to meet, I also met! When I was younger, when I was learning, I always had a teacher or I always had someone who came and who gave me a big gift, you know, so, so big, I was so embarrassed... how to say thank you? And they just told me that it doesn't matter, just enjoy and just pursue your career”.

💪 He is the best film director I’ve ever met and worked with, whether it’s for his passion, creativity, craziness or talent - he has everything and that’s why his movies were screened in so many international film festivals all around the world, such as the Gässli Film Festival, Schweizer Jugendfilmtage, Fribourg International Film Festival, PÖFF SHORTS, Liverpool International Film Festival, and many more!

🎥 David shares how he’s always been following this passion: he had his first camera at 5, started to make his own movies and he never stopped until today.

🥳 David makes movies to spread joy and put a smile on our face and to convey values such as hard work and perseverance, so we discuss how he created his own crazy, poetic and optimistic style over the years, why he has a give first mindset, and his role in society as a film director.

So grab a drink and enjoy the interview with David! I recommend you to watch on YouTube for the full experience, or at least to watch his movies below in the references ;)
